Crinolines…petticoats, slips. I’ve seen them called all three of those.
When I shopped for mine, I just asked for a slip, and found what I needed.
Good luck and Congrats.
They can be called crinolines, slips or petticoats. There are two main types: with hoops and without hoops. You will need hoops if your dress is a Ball Gown style with a very large skirt. Even for an A-line skirt the hoops help a lot, and help to stay cooler. If you want a more flowing type of look, try the type that is layered tulle that is lined so it won’t be scratchy. There are slips designed for a types of dresses, even mermaid wedding dresses. The type with hoops are usually adjustable: you can make the hoops smaller if you want. Some bridal shops will rent out crinolines so you don’t have to buy it.
