hahaha! wat a dusch! They should respect that a wedding is one time thing for a couple and their family and pictures/videos are the only vivid memories they can have… Saying that you’re a pro and delivers a sub-par quality photos… tsk tsk! shame! shame!
@AiVern1989 ok, last comment on this… We all “photographers” know the max for a 70 is f4, right? no need to ask that other than show off some photog terms… besides the way he asks, if you think about it, no pro photographer usually asks “What speed is it?” we use “how fast is it”? i know it sounds the same, but thats the way we use, commonly… we use fast glass… no what speed is it? that has to do more with Cars.. lol.. Okay, im done, bye bye
of course, besides, the lens aperture does not determine whether is a bad or good one, also, i think that little camera has an max iso of 1600 which is more than enough, grainy but enough… and you don’t need “speedy” lens on the outside takes… i took my nephew’s baptism ceremony shots with a $400 Konica/Minolta 6 mp, lol and the prints came out pretty decent… didn’t have much money at that time… well, im not commenting more on this matter, got bored! cheers!
Agreed, but I think that a real judge would do some homework about cameras so that he understands even some of those things.. Still fake as a fff.. well it’s fake.
@hotperogi
Everybody knows that the lens was damn slow, and she didnt want to admit it, it’s obvious.
if she’s prepared to use that equipment for somebody’s wedding, she should be prepared to give a refund.
Even amateurs know the max Av, ESP. IF THEY ONLY OWN 2. Aperture is a fundamental, and red-shirt likely shoots in P mode.
Any pro will
o Be prepared for common situations – at a minimum f/2.8 zooms & likely a fast prime
o Know that flash often isn’t allowed in a church (and can be of limited utility anyway) and rarely during the ceremony
o Research the venue
o Have more than one body. An XTi isn’t outrageous for a second, but a pro will have a primary with better high-ISO performance.
@HassanAlHajry
Maybe she forgot the lens speed. This is from a long time ago. I definitely don’t remember the lenses I used for shoots two years ago–doesn’t mean i don’t kick major ass. heh.

The defendant looked like she didn’t know more about photography than a high school student. Bitch got served.

You get what you pay for. Who do you know that charges $1300 for shooting and prints?
July 2nd, 2010 @11:23 pm
True. It’s just a show anyway haha. 5.6 for canon’s 70-300mm(telephoto end) is still pretty slow for a wedding with no flash though~

“how? come you are going to ask “speed” if you know what a Kit lens is?”
He was trying to determine whether or not she was professional enough to know her gear.
” all he says is like taken from a American Photo magazine… ”
Which is in part what made it all so funny.
