I tend to have a pretty casual family and group of friends and my fiance and I would like to have a fancier wedding and reception. What if someone shows up in a beer t-shirt!? How do I tell everyone that it’s semi formal attire?

Hello, my fiancé & I are getting married & this is his second wedding. The first he did not have much involvement in and did not do much of the typical “wedding stuff” like bachelor party or getting the guarder. So I’m wondering what are some other things that people think are key traditional things that everyone should experience in their ceremony & reception. Also, what are some things that every groom should get to enjoy/experience about the whole thing, the planning, the event, the before, everything… thanks!

In GA it can cost anywhere from $20-$40 a person for heavy hor’deorves or a dinner. I was just curious how much it cost in other places for caters. Actually, I am wanting to compare prices for a wedding reception or a coctail party for 200 people.

I’m planning on having a very intimate wedding ceremony (family only) and maybe just a small dinner somewhere for the family with a small cake, but skipping the “party” part. We’re on a pretty tight budget. Would that seem odd?

Of course we probably would skip the wedding registry as well.

I’m planning my wedding and my fiance and I are on a budget. we are financing the whole thing ourselves and there has been a few adjustments. Now I understand the whole wedding favors thing, but how important are they? will it really matter if i decide to leave out wedding favors for our guests? would it cause irreparable harm?

My fiance and I will exchange vows next month in a very small, casual beachside ceremony, attended by only our parents, grandparents & siblings. We’re trying to think of an effective yet meaningful way to mark the official “start” of our ceremony and get everyone introduced before the minister starts to do his thing.
